Description

This project will:

A. Provide 10 days of intensive literacy instruction to teachers of students with significant disabilities;
B. Provide participants the knowledge and skills to develop techniques for facilitating oral and written language development consistent with NC’s Extended Content Standards;
C. Provide participants the knowledge and skills to enhance oral and written language assessment skills for students
with significant disabilities;
D. Facilitate access to professional development resources related to oral and written language development,
assessment, and assistive technology.
E. Provide on-line follow-up resources and discussion boards through May 2013.
F. The Center for Literacy and Disability Studies will be responsible for securing a location for the training.
