Research project

Description

Proposal and Meeting Details Describe the meeting including the following details:
1. Topic(s) to be the focus of the meeting
The Meeting will address several topics relating to Solar Fuels Research with a focus on
Catalysis and Photoconversion.
Talks will include:
Overall Water Splitting on Nitride-Type Heterogeneous Photocatalysts
Controlling Coupled Electron Transfers in Artificial Photosynthesis
Semiconducting Oxides for Photoelectrode-Based Solar Energy Conversion
Atomic Layer Deposition for Semiconductor Photoelectrochemistry
Polymeric Chromophores for Light Harvesting, Transport and Energy Conversion
In addition to formal scientific talks, experts in Social Policy will present two talks, including
a talk on The Regulatory Environment for Expanded Use of Solar Power Production in the US
On Friday evening, January 14, there will be a free, public event for the general public “Putting
Solar Energy in [its] Place” to be held at the William and Ida Friday Center. This event will
include displays, posters, and a panel discussion featuring political, scientific and industry
leaders.
