SERPENT aims to develop primitives for high-level declarative expressions of data management tasks for Software Defined Networks (SDN) as complex queries on semantic data models and techniques for automatic optimization of those queries. It proposes to develop a graph querying and processing framework founded on techniques for solving algebraic path problems for queries that have both structural and semantic constraints. It’s goal is to simplify the design and implementation of SDN controllers, which use the queries as building blocks to construct complex control algorithms.
