Description

The Consultant agrees to:
Preconception Peer Educator Program
Develop a Preconception Health Fellowship program for ~8-10 college PPEs from across the Southeast region via the Every Woman Southeast Coalition at the UNC CMIH. Fellows will work with us (~6 months) to:
o Learn about key issues and careers in maternal and child health.
o Learn about the photo voice methodology and then plan, implement and disseminate a photo voice project with their PPE peers.
o Participate in a 2 day training on leadership development.
o Shadow an MCH leader and receive professional development support from mentors.
? Provide technical assistance and support to the OMH PPE program as requested. This could include assistance with coordinating webinars and social media outreach.
Connect the Dots on Postpartum
? Refine and publish proceedings from Connect the Dots – Postpartum meeting.
? Work on several action areas including:
o Publish a thematic issue of the MCH Journal on postpartum health and wellness;
o Assist AMCHP in building a business case for improved postpartum are and services;
o Co-host an in-person meeting with AMCHP in Washington DC with experts to develop the business case
o Integrate postpartum and health equity work with the HRSA MCHB PCC/ICC CoIIN;

o Encourage the development of clinical guidelines and quality measures for the postpartum visit.
o Link Collaborative Improvement and innovation Network (CoIIN) to national and local preconception care/Interconception Care efforts
