Collaborative research on the physical activity and environmental data from the Community Transformation Grant program.

Project: Research project

Description

Epidemiologist Dr. Kelly Evenson’s RTI University Scholars Program collaborative project will utilize the physical activity and environmental data from the Community Transformation Grant Program to conduct the following analyses on cross-sectional data being collected in 2013-2014: derive and apply latent class patterns of physical activity and sedentary behavior for adults and children; describe the co-occurrence of these patterns of physical activity and sedentary behavior across subgroups and within the same household, with a focus on child-parent pairs; and determine whether the physical activity and sedentary behavior patterns are associated with features of the home environments around which the families live.
